Hi there

Can you expound on that? When you say the "Hand symbol" has been removed, are you talking about the Stamps? Mine were all left intact when I upgraded, so that's perplexing.

As far as "unselecting" a tool, I'm not sure if you mean to say that you have clicked perhaps the Blur tool to select and use it and now you are unable to click a different tool to use it, or if you are wanting a second click on any tool to remove focus.

Cheers... Rick :)

In the prior release there was a  "Hand" symbol that you could add to the Quick Access Tool Bar using the Customize process. When you clicked on all "Tools" would be deselected an the "Hand" would allow you to move the image around without the editor trying to do the Tool action.

I haven't upgraded to the latest version but can't you add the "Hand" to the tool bar and have it readily available?

No the PAN is gone from the new version. They made major changes to the Editor with 11.4. See the PDF here:

I just rolled back to 11.3

I get it they removed the Pan button from the ribbon.  I was asking if you could add it to the quick acess tool bar.

Surprising since the pan tool still exists in that version it's just hidden more.  Well, then I suppose moving back a version is the way to handle this.  In that version I know you can add the Pan button to the toolbar.

When you say it's hidden more - where is it hidden?  There is no View tab, and the only way I can get it to work is by holding the <CTRL> + <SHIFT> keys.

From the document you showed me, I read that holding the space key will make it available when the image is over 100% zoom.

There's a few people in this thread, and I didn't show a document (doesn't matter - I understand) and that's interesting it says that - it doesn't work for me, but the <CTRL>+<SHIFT> does work.  You had just said it was "hidden more" and I was wondering where it was hiding - but I guess you meant that it is available with hot keys, but it's not available an option to click on.

Sorry, the way this silly forum hides posts I didn't realize it wasn't you that linked to that PDf file.  Anyway, it says that TS did remove the button from the interface but that holding the spacebar while dragging should activate the pan.  Why TS did that I just don't know.

Yeah, I don't like that they hide comments either.  It's easy to miss.

I don't know where the "hand" went (for PAN) (it was under the "View" tab).  However, if you hold the <CTRL> + <SHIFT> keys, the "hand" will appear and you can pan the image around.

That may explain where the function went since the View Tab has also gone South

Hi,

The Pan tool is still available and can be accessed via pressing CTRL+SHIFT. Holding this down allows you to pan around with your mouse.

Thanks,

Jason

Jason, can it be added to the quick acess toolbar?

Unfortunately, it can't. We'll be entering a bug to allow it to still be added to the quick access toolbar.
