Launch Alternate Editor

I was reflecting on the numerous conversations around SnagIt and its lack of advanced  graphical editing capabilities, and how some users take their captures into Photoshop et al to apply the effects they need.

Opinion seems to fairly divided with some who would like advanced capabilities and those who want SnagIt to stick to its core principles.

And then I thought there might be a simple answer to this. Give us a preset option that is "Launch in External Editor"  that does exactly what it says on the tin.  You use SnagIt to capture a screenshot but instead of opening the SnagIt Editor for you to save the image and then open it in Photoshop or Corel Draw etc it just opens your editor of choice so you can edit it there.

Good idea? Or a "What have you been smoking?" moment.

I have a preset made to go right into Affinity Photo (just like photoshop) and a program preset in the editor to send it to Photo from there. If we still had a customizable user toolbar (hint hint) I would pin the SHARE / PROGRAM / Affinity Photo preset there.
The point is, it is already there .. all you have to do is set it up

PS @ Doug Troxell ... user editable toolbar or all menu items able to pin to what you have ...

Same here Paul,

I capture straight to Photoshop, I just hit "Page Up".

If I do send one form the editor, it's a 2 click process. I pin the share to program icon to the toolbar. There's a keyboard shortcut, but I can't remember all the shortcuts.I use way to much software to go down that road.I stick with industry standards for the most part. I wish TechSmith would do the same.
