Two things: 1) Leave the sliding strip on the bottom of the snagit editor to show thumbnails going back 1 year. 2) Since you guys can extract the text from the images, why not use that info as a meta data repository so that it can be searched on. You have the capability, why not use it?
WRT the one year, I could see where this might be much better suited if made configurable by the user. I'm sure there would be some performance hit after a certain number has been reached. As a user, I would love to set that number for myself. ;)
As for the extraction of text, I'm thinking that this would likely turn into a bit of a nightmare for users if actually implemented. I say this because I note that when I choose to extract or edit the text, it takes a certain amount of time before the text is available. If this occurred for each and every image I captured, it would become maddening to have to wait for the text extraction before I could capture the next image.
I could see where having the text searchable would be beneficial. Perhaps they might develop a process where we could run something against the library to achieve it?
