Length of Text Behaviors

So here's a question/problem I've run into today ... I've created a Callout box and have put in my text. I want it to appear like it's being "typed" onto the screen so I applied the Fade behavior and adjusted the speed so the text appears to be typed in. But the effect lasts as long as the clip so the moment all the text finishes being typed in the clip ends and everything goes away before the reader can truly finish reading it.

How do I get the text to type in and then hold for a couple seconds before the clip ends? I've tried adjusting the speed or extending the length of the clip but all that does is slow the animation down again.

Thanks for any/all help.

Nice job finding a solution to your typing effect!  I don't think I would have thought of that one.

I'm not sure about the "proper" way to do what you are asking, but here's what I would do:

Create a static version of the callout, with all the same properties as the fully "typed" one. Then, on the timeline, drop that static, non-animated version right next to the animated one.  Basically, the animated one will disappear, and leave the static one behind for as long as you want it to be there.  If you butt them up right next to each other, the viewer won't even notice the transition.

Let me know how that works!
