Library Feedback

Hello Everyone,
Ran across a issue with the new version of snagit, but after talking to a technician, I was able to get it resolve as to what to do. In the older version of snagit, I used to delete the images in the Library from time to time without losing my saved captures. However I discovered in the new version when I do that, it will also delete the images I saved to the computer, whether that would be the desktop, documents, pictures etc...the technician inform me that I could just right click on the image in the Library and remove it, instead of deleting it. This would keep the image save on my computer.

I told him that I did not recall this happening when I was deleting the images in the older version of the Snagit  Library, and he inform me that this was something new.

This is just feedback, as long as I know to just remove the images in the library instead of deleting them I should be fine now. This is just feedback for people that are not aware of this. I was looking for captures that I had saved on my computer, only to find them in my recycle bin after I deleted my captures in the library lol

Keep up the great work Tech Smith

Vince, thank you for communicating that to the users.

As for Techsmith, another dumb thing to do in the new version. Maybe starting version 14, they should give the software for free to their users since they keep on screwing around with a perfect software that work as of version 11.4.2. After that version, things started disappearing and dumb decisions made. They are doing an injustice to their loyal users by stripping the software of useful things it used to do.

I wish I had seen this sooner!  Thought I was just "cleaning up" my Library (like I had done in previous versions) - and found out the next day that the images from a folder at work were all missing!  Luckily we were able to restore the folder from backup.  But seriously!  Put some type of warning please!  This could have been really bad for me had it not been caught so quickly!
