Hello, please can you help me, I have a older copy of Snagit v11.1 working on Vista and have not used it in a very long time but now I have a situation where I require it, my question is if I buy a new license will this work on my legacy product. (I understand if no support is given) Thank you.

Yes, a incense bought today will work on today's version and any version in the past, so they have said.
But, you should be able to recover your old license by contacting tech support

You can access your SnagIt 11 License # from your working copy.

I can't remember if you access it exactly the same in SnagIt 11 as the newer versions? However, all you need to do is find the "Support Information" Open it and scroll down slowly, it's small print and easy to whizz past the activation key.

Here's a screen shot of SnagIt 2018. You just select About SnagIt from the Help Menu, & support information is a select-ableĀ  tab from there.

What you may find is that a newer version may not work in Vista. Many newer versions occur in order to make them compliant with the newer OS version. If it does appear to work you will probably find erratic behavior while trying to do some of the newer capabilities that Vista is not designed to support.
