When I unlink audio it is forever left to float around my timeline.
I would love it if unlink worked per clip and if I could arbitrarily link audio to a clip.

I would like to be able to right click on the audio and choose link...causing the audio clip to follow the video clip.

That way if I edit videos earlier in the timeline the newly linked audio would adjust along with everything else.

Thank you for your feedback.
This kind of functionality has been requested many times and it is on our radar to look into at some point in the future.

Thanks again,

I think you’ll find linking/unlinking audio much easier to use in our latest release of Camtasia Studio (version 8.0.0):

- Audio can be unlinked on a per clip basis. No more unlinking audio for the entire timeline!
- If need be, audio that has been unlinked or was never linked to video can be grouped (multi-select both clips by ctrl+clicking and hitting ctrl+g) together with the video. Grouping keeps both clips contained so that they can be moved around the timeline similar to a single clip and will stay in sync with each other.
- You can ungroup clips at any time by selecting the group and hitting ctrl+u. Keep in mind though that edits done to the group as a whole (not edits on single clips inside of the group) will be lost when ungrouping.

Let me know if you have any questions.
