Linking to packaged video file

I have a very long video (almost an hour) so the Table of Contents is imperative. However, I am running into trouble linking to the html file wherever i go to place this video. All the places I am attempting to use a link- want the mp4 link NOT the HTML one. Does anyone have a work-around that will allow me to link to the player.html file so that the Table of Contents is intact?

I see where it will take the mp4 file, but won't I loose the table of contents again? Its the html file within the published folder that launches the video with the table of contents. Correct?

I did figure out that the MP4 on screen cast is the only way to get the TOC to be visible,. I also did finally get it uploaded (manually- not from Camtasia- that is still not working properly). Is this a long term solution for me though? How long can i house videos here? Is there a way to get an embed code or to package the files so that the html player can launch the mp4? I don't have access to a server.

I'm guessing you're using the free sc.com account that came with Camtasia?

as long as the content is viewed, at least once a year, there is no time limit

you can also always upgrade to a sc.com Pro account

if you are only looking at hosting a small number of videos, sc.com will be your best option

if hosting thousands, then getting your own web site [very inexpensive these days] is a viable option

the html will launch w/TOC in a local setting; but not on most public hosting sites like YouTube; the key is that the SmartPlayer does the heavy lifting re interactive content
