Camtasia will load most of my music...how come it won't load a couple of songs?  They are all MP3's.

HI there

Perhaps the songs it's having problems with have been encoded differently than the others?

Are you able to record the screen and enable system sounds and perhaps play the songs there? My thought is that if you could do that you could then separate the audio, save it to your library then use in the project you want.

Cheers... Rick :)

Hi Rick.  Well, we're really new to Camtasia.  "Record the screen and enable sounds"  Do you mean to play the song in the background and record it at the same time we're recording the screen shots?  We wouldn't be able to edit the music then, right?  All these songs have come from the same place, all are from the same folder, all are MP3's, and there doesn't appear to be anything different between these and the other songs.  If this is the only fix, then Camtasia isn't the program for us...any other ideas for a program?  We were using Movie Maker, which also has limitations.  thanks for your time, Rick.

Hello Faye,

In most cases you won’t have a problem with MP3’s in Camtasia Studio. This is a sure-fire workaround if  needed.

The following video will show you how to convert your MP3 into something that will load into Camtasia. This is the technique that Rick was referring to.

You can use the same technique on problematic videos as well.

Regards, Joe
