Lock a capture to the left of the recents tray

Working on a capture where I was integrating lots of new captures to it, the "master" capture eventually disappeared off the tray, having been displaced by the newer ones.

It would be helpful to be able to lock a capture to pole position in the tray.  The only way I can think to workaround it is to occasionally duplicate it, because the new copy goes to the front of the queue

Yes, agree.  Good enhancement. I wanted to lock specific captures...  At least temporary.

I would like to drag the sub captures onto the main capture to create a stack of related captures to keep things organized by project. Ideally I could rearrange captures in my order and also expand and collapse those stacks in the recent tray. But now the recent tray is becoming a mini library/file manager, which sounds like a much bigger scope. Maybe go with the pin concept for now and add this to the next round of features.

I'd suggest that you raise this as a separate idea; ideas which are tacked onto the end of other ones tend to get lost. Indeed Get Satisfaction excels at getting ideas lost in the noise, and I can see the merit of this one.

In the interim, I tend to use Tags to group images by project.

I've just voted for this idea as well, which pushed it up to 3 digits.  Whether 3 digits is enough for it to get to "Under Consideration"...

It is a separate idea. But has been rolled into the 2018 round up, so it can be voted on for possible inclusion. So your vote definitely counts. Tganjs
