When
editing a timeline containing more than 10 tracks it would be an awesome
feature to be able to click a button that locks all tracks at one time. Then
you can unlock the one track you want to edit, then unlock all tracks again. It
is a major time waster to go click each track on then off.

Yes, this seems like a a no-brainer valuable feature, that would save time and help protect against really damaging user errors (like inadvertently applying an edit intended for one track to multiple tracks).

I would agree as this would make more sense and sure make it easier when you have multiple tracks on your timeline. I am voting this Idea up and hope to see more do the same now that it has been brought up again. Thanks for bringing this Idea back into play.

Re-visiting this thread. I presently am working with a project that has 31 tracks. I will be creating 31 separate video clips from this project. Sure would be nice to have the ability to easily lock or hide all tracks at once in order to unlock or unhide just the track (or tracks) I'm interested in.
I envision a context menu option when right-clicking any track that would look like this:

And even take it further. Lock all tracks but this track.
Hide all tracks.
Hide all tracks but this track.
Show all tracks.
Show all tracks but this track.
Cheers... Rick :)

I'm a new user. This is one of the first things I looked for - disappoing that I cannot hide/lock all or show/unlock all; I was actually looking for the option "Hide all except for this track" ; )

See also my feature request 'Camtasia feature request - edit just one track' for where having to keep locking and unlocking tracks just to edit one track at a time becomes tedious
