I wanted to know if when I drag a selected object if there is a way to lock the X or Y axis in a similar fashion to Visio or the Adobe tools, where you press Shift and it will pick either the X or Y axis based on your drag direction?

thanks!

Hi,
I believe the answer is no, but just in case, can you tell me what product you're using and I'll look into it. At a minimum, this should become a feature request.

Thanks!

Hi, I am wondering if this has been added.  Is there a way to lock the Y axis while dragging text?

Snagit 10.0.1 build 58. Thanks I think people would find it very helpful.

This would be very helpful in C:Mac. So would another other common idiom, which is that a corner drag with shift depressed scales the asset proportionally in X and Y around the existing center point.

Especially since I find the scale slider in the properties pane a bit jerky sometimes.
