Losing visual content when manually captioning a video clip then saving

Working in Camtasia 8 to manually record and caption a video. It recorded just fine. After adding captions manually it played well, so I saved it in my project folder.  I come back to the recording later, and the captions are there but all of the visuals are gone (see image below). A colleague of mine said it had happened to him, too, and he had had to copy and paste the original video track back onto the captioned content. He said he thought it had something to do with the fact of how I'm saving it (or where) but he wasn't sure how to prevent it from happening again. He suggested that Camtasia  may be looking for a specific folder??  Help! Any suggestions of how to solve this so I don't lose mrore content the future?  Thanks for your feedback, in advance.  Elizabeth

Hi there!

That indicates the original content was moved from the location it was stored in when it was imported into the project. You will need to move the files back. This can also happen if you are storing files externally (something we do not recommend users do, as these problems can and will happen). You will need to right-click on the file in the Clip Bin and choose "Update Media" and then navigate to the new file location.
