I just downloaded Snagnit 11 and am trying to record a video. As I being to record, I immediately get an error saying I have no audio. The audio works before I start recording but immediately fails once I start the recording.

The message says, "sorry, Snagnit had to stop recording due to loss of audio"

how do I fix this?

Hello Dale. Are you using a PC or Mac? Also, can you give a little more details as to what you are recording? For example an audio narration of your voice (If so what kind of Microphone - USB or something else), System Audio (What You Hear - From Speakers), Webcam Mic, etc.

The more information provided makes it easier to help with the problem. Thanks for posting and have a Great Day!

Hi Fred

I am using a Logitech headset with a mic and earphones to record through a USB connection on a PC. I want to record my voice with a short tutorial for software demo.

I use the headset for Skype and WebEx meetings routinely and it works fine for those applications on my computer.

Hi Dale. Can you tell me when you start a video recording of your screen area you select what the dropdown menu says is your Audio Device? You should see that screen before you hit the record button and start recording. Does it list your USB Mic there? If not, have you checked to make sure you have the correct settings in your Windows Playback and Recording Devices. SnagIt 11 is setup to remember the last microphone you used and should show up again when recording another video. Let us know and thanks for posting back. If you have any further questions feel free to ask. Below I have posted an image provided by Wade Stevens from TechSmith that shows where the audio settings dropdown is located. Let us know if this helps at all.
