Hello, I am editing a video from webinar. It is mp4 file. Source file audio quality is good. The sound is clear. But when I import it in Camtasia, the voice gets really buzzy. Like if I were deep in the ocean or somewhere ;) Could you please advise what to do to have good audio quality?
Hi Ewa; This is often caused by the fact most webinar services record their audio at 8 kHz and Camtasia works best with audio that is recorded at 44.1 kHz. You may need to use a tool such as Audacity or Handbrake to extract the audio, then convert the audio to 44.1 kHz (I recommend using Audacity for that part), then bring in the 44.1 kHz audio to your Camtasia Project. You would then remove the MP4's audio stream in Camtasia and replace it with the newly created audio file. -Robert
I have one more simillar question. I thought the same solution will help, but unfortunately no. I was making a video with my colleague. We did it via Skype Meeting and in the same time he recorded his screen and speech in Camtasia. I've recorded part of our Skype call with Skype recorder.
The recording done by me via Skype (video mp4 file): audio is really clear The audio recording done by the speaker via Camtasia Recorder (wav file): audio is buzzy and low quality
Could you please help solve this issue? I tried to use audacity to set the 44100 Hz but this did not help :(
