Does anyone have any idea if the Mac version will bet getting a media Library? Shame on me for making an assumption but after using the PC version on a friends computer I purchased Camtasia for my Mac assuming the features would be the same.

Hey Jesse yeah it's weird the WinDoze version is better developed - but not to fear you can download lots of assets from the Camtasia library online.  Sorry I don't have the link for you but a bit of searching should turn it up quick.  I use both windows and mac and for instance have downloaded a nice mp3 for background music and a snazzy intro or two that are customizable.  My experience has been it's just a matter of being simpler with the windows platform -- but still very doable on the Mac!

The issue I have is not about the availability of intros/lower thirds etc. the issue I have is that if I want to add one it’s not available in the program itself, I have to locate it, load it as an asset and then add it to the timeline. Whereas if there was a library in Camtasia, I could just drag it to the timeline.

Yes, a Mac library has been planned and we have begun active development on it.

I don't blame you for asking, but all I can really say right now is that we're working on it ;)
