This conversation has been merged. Please reference the main conversation: Highlighter in wrong place after exporting to mp4

After the recent 2.7.0 update for Mac (28 JAN 2014) exports to mp4 or YouTube no longer align all the highlight and callouts. I tried this with a project that worked great a month ago and has not changed; now the project renders the video incorrectly. Is there something new that I should know about before using this latest patch?

Hey Ray,

Sorry you are seeing this! We are aware of it, and there is a patch coming that will fix this. I'm hoping next week, but don't quote me! Again, sorry about the inconvenience.

Exported file does not match original.

Hi!

I am working on quite a few animations (over 100) and I was just going to start exporting when I discovered a serious problem.

I have used the highlighter (like blur and coloured highlighter) quite a lot and it seems like that in the exported file, they are not in the right position. In fact they are a few 200 pixel or so off. I tried to change them by a few pixels and rearranged them a bit, exported again, restarted the software etc without success. I used different animations but it seems to be a permanent problem.

I am running Version 2.7.0 (87100) on an OS X 10.8.3 machine. I export to H264, full hd, quicktime container.

What can I do?

Hi Bernard,

Had the same problem. If you contact the support team, they might give you a prerelease of the patch that fixed the issue for me. I believe the patch should be online soon based on the responses.

Hope this helps,
Ray

Has anyone received an update on this issue?  None of my blurred animations work on exported MP4 files

And BTW, it's not just mp4 or YouTube. Does the same with MOV.

Version 2.7.1 of Camtasia for Mac was released today.  It fixes this problem.   The update is available from within the app via the 'Check for Updates...' menu item under the 'Camtasia 2' menu, or you can download it from http://www.techsmith.com/camtasia.html .
