Hi,

Snagit version 2 is not supported on Sierra. You can upgrade to the latest version of Snagit here.

Snagit 4.x.x is compatible with Sierra. Might be time to become somewhat current.

The older version couldn't work smoothly at all , maybe you've to try the version 4 instead , please go to  https://www.macbed.com/snagit-4-1-4/

I'm using Snagit 4.1.4 and seems like after the latest macOS 10.12.5 update, Snagit capture doesn't work. I tried rebooting my Mac  and that didn't help either.

Hi,

When you say that Snagit capture doesn't work, do you mean you try taking a capture and it fails, or do you mean you can't start a capture because the window is missing?

I'm running into the same problem.  When I launch snagit, the editor works fine, the "S" is in my menu bar is at the top, but if I click on the "Capture" button in the Editor or click the "S" in the menu bar nothing happens.  This worked fine on Mac OS Sierra right up until I upgraded.  I'm now on Sierra 10.12.5. I'm running Snagit Version 4.1.5 (78109)
