macOS Sierra - Cannot share via email

Ever since I upgraded to Sierra, I no longer have the ability to 'Share' via email.  I have Outlook installed because it comes with Office (of which I use Word, Excel and PP) but do not use Outlook.  Want to use Mail.app

Hi,

You should be able to share to mail using the system Mail extension that Snagit includes. Let us know if you do not see that option in Snagit 4.

I do not have that option, sadly.  I used to.

Click on More near the bottom. In the resulting dialog box, select Share Menu. See if Mail.app is checked or not.

Specifically... Are you saying that you don't have the Share Menu or "More" or that mail.app isn't listed? If no to any of those, either you don't have version 4 or you need technical help from Luke or other Snagit staff.

It turns out that I had the old version as well as the new one.  I removed the old one and all is well.  But to answer your question, 'Mail' did not appear in the list or in the 'Extensions' section that shows up when you hit more.

Hi Manny,

When you click the 'More...' button, it should open the system preferences app. Then click the 'Share Menu' section on the left and you should see mail as an option.

Unfortunately, selecting MAIL opens Outlook Mail, not Mac Mail

Hi,

Apple's built in mail sharing extension uses the default mail client. If you change your default to Apple Mail, then Snagit should share to Mail instead of Outlook.
