I like to get good audio quality for my videos belive it or not audio is one of the most important quality signal for video. So Camtasia should get support for more Audio-Formats to import Flac, MP4 and WMV for example but in front of all others flac should be supportet, because it is a loosless audio format and camtasia does not support any loosless audio format besides wave since it was created. So you should absolutely go for it.

We support the audio files natively supported by the OS X platform.  Flac is not one of those.  There are formats that are uncompressed/lossless such as wav, aiff and m4a when using apple lossless compression that are fully supported.  So you can get fully lossless audio into Camtasia.  Note that Camtasia internally works with 44100 floating point audio only, so although using a higher sample rate file will work, it will be downsampled to 44100 so there is fidelity loss there.  You are absolutely correct in your statement that audio quality is extremely important in video.  For now though, you will need to re-encode you FLAC files for use in Camtasia, but you can absolutely pull in lossless audio.
