Making quizzes optional

In a training video, I want to make my "Check your understanding" questions (single quiz questions) optional. So the video should stop as it does for quizzes, but allow the user to continue if they don't want to do this. I've tried a number of work arounds, but have not found a way to do this. Seems pretty basic to me. Am I missing something or is this not possible?

you cannot play past a quiz until it is taken

but viewers can just click the 1 question in the quiz without answering, then they can continue on watching any video past the quiz point

Thank you. Another feature that seems obviously needed to me.

Consider voting on this feature. I realize you posted in the Windows community but hopefully the feature would cross platforms.
