Managing Library Files in Camtasia - Windows

Hi ..

I am a newcommer to Camtasia but I do have a question to all of you experts.

If I am working on 2 or 3 different Camtasia productions at the same time, meaning I do something, close down, open another project, make some things, close down etc.

- How do I Best Manage the library so I can keep the items seperate from project to project.

- When I export as a ZIP file, does the Camtasia ONLY include the Library ITEMS that are on the Timeline or is it everything that is in the Libray when the export is done.

- Can I make different locations for Library files, meaning If I have have Libray items for 3 different, ongoing projects, in the Libray.. Can I save them in different locations, Could be I make a folder for each project to keep everything seperate in there.

HOW do you manage these things .?

put project related assets in a subfolder in library; make folder using right click menu option

when you export as zip [as opposed to libzip from library], the archive will include a copy of everything on timeline, used library assets or otherwise, and clips in clip bin; unused library assets are not included

when you libzip, only the selected library assets are archived

you cannot change [or have different] library folders

best practice is to put all project-specific assets in a library subfolder, and libzip the subfolders separately

just be sure to sent entire progject to library so you have an asset that contains everything used in project
