Marker Suggestions

Today finds me working with the same video but in two distinct Camtasia projects. I have someone I'm editing video for that wants the same video produced in vertical video format and another produced in 16x9 1080p format.

I've just been given an image to insert at a specific point in the video.

I've saved this project as two different tscproj files. I have the first one open and I've identified the spot where the image should be placed, and I've configured a marker at that spot.

I've added the image and tweaked it to my liking. So my task now is to open the second tscproj and make the identical edits.

What would be so nice and helpful in this case would be to have a way to insert a marker and just indicate the time at which it should be inserted. While it would be great to have a feature where perhaps I could right-click either the Marker track or the word "Marker" on the left and see an option to insert and specify the time, it would be equally great if when one looked at the Properties panel for the marker, the time element for its position would be shown as well as editable.

Thanks and happy holidays! Rick :)

Addendum: I have two elements at this marker position. I've grouped them and added the group to the library for simple insertion into the other project. So for Groups or other elements, the timeline placement indication would be helpful to see in the Properties panel as well. I could then just pop the elements on the timeline and quickly adjust the timeline placement by massaging the start time in the Properties panel.

@Rick If I understand this request correctly, you want a "jump to this time" option, correct?

If that is the case, I completely agree and if this option already exists, I would love to know where it is :-)

If that is what you are looking for, I would like to add a little more to the request. In the Edit menu, there is a Jump To.. sub-menu. It would be great if that is the menu where it is available. I agree it would be nice if there is a little entry box that allows you to hand-type it somewhere near the timeline. You said put it in the properties area, but it might be better somewhere near the slider for faster access and it is more contextual.

Also, Microsoft uses CTRL+G to "go to" cells in Excel or a specific task in Microsoft Project. A CTR+G or CMD+G dialog could also be useful to go to a specific place in the timeline.
