Please add Masking support on PC in Camtasia.  I need it for transitions and special effects.  It's hugely limiting to not have it.  Unfortunately, I will have to switch to Premier Pro until you add it which is too bad since I like Camtasia a lot

I can back that request up. I have to do my masking effects in Adobe After Effects and import it afterwards. Not a nice work around...

Hi there

Can one of you describe how this feature would work? I ask, because many things are possible with Camtasia and we have lots of creative folks here. So if we knew exactly how such a feature would work, perhaps it actually exists and is possible in Camtasia, but we all know it by a different name or method.

So if you would be so kind as to just give us a brief overview of how it would work, that could be helpful. Not only for someone possibly offering a workaround, but I might think also for the folks at TechSmith to better understand what you want.

Cheers... Rick :)

Really, I just want what Premier Pro does.  Select an irregular shape, drag any number of dots to surround it and then frame by frame move / adjust the mask.  The goal is to reveal a portion of a 2nd video incrementally from under a 1st video ... Example... Disappear on one side of screen and appear on the other before disappearing by overlaying 2 videos filmed with the same static camera.  Transition to scene 2 from scene 1 by sliding in scene 2 via a panned dark object that you filmed on screen 1 .     Pour water into a glass and when it lands, it turns into nuts in the glass.     There are so many things that you can do to stand out with masking.     Thanks in advance
