Memory Overflow - Windows-7 Snagit 2018.2.0 Update Won't Update

First - you FAILED to notify users of known problem with memory overflow for 2018.2.0  I spent many wasted hours figuring out you (SnagIt) was the culprit, and could have prevented that by sending email notice to all users.  Shame on you..!!!
Second, you say it's fixed in new release 2018.2.1...  Which will not install
1 - Help About shows my current version for Windows 7 (64 Bit) is 2018.2.0
2 - Help Check for Updates says my version is Up to Date (it won't install any update)
3 - My PC can Not download anything from Internet.
Your program can't update itself..  Sad..  Sad.. Sad..

Do the Developers / Team at Snagit even care or read these?  I guessing not as I left a post a few days ago with no response.

I never noticed any memory leaks on my Windows 7 Pro 64 bits, and the update to 2018.2.1 installed itself without problem. Just one data point.

However, the frequent lack of response from TechSmith on issues or questions raised in the forums can be frustrating, and difficult to understand.

Hi there;

Our development team does indeed review threads that come through the user-to-user community forum here (for TechSmith Technical Support please see here). As to the issue you're having with regard to the auto-update / check for updates not working; I've brought this up to the dev team and they are looking into it, in the meantime you can manually update Snagit via this link, simply select the version you want and a download button will appear.

I would recommend that you also open a support ticket if you continue to have issues with updating Snagit 2018.

Kind Regards,
