I'm new to camtasia studio and want to be able to do what I've been doing for years with the free Wink software, that is creating menus of tutorials - can this be done with camtasia, if so how?

Hey Tom,

Take a look at this article on creating an interactive table of contents. Does this accomplish what you are looking to do? http://blogs.techsmith.com/tips-how-t...

Let me know!

I tried this out, but as far as I can tell this allows an interactive (albeit clumsy) table of contents, but not a true menu of projects. Check out my wink menu here:

for an idea of what I am looking to do. I have changed this quite a bit to encompass links to submenus which list more tutorials.

Hi Tom,

Have you looked into MenuMaker that comes with Camtasia Studio to see if that would be an options for you?

Is menumaker part of Camtasia studio 8? If so, where is it - I don't see it (I'm currently using the 30 trial). Is it separate?

Hi,

The PDF might be a bit out-of-date.. I see it is for version 6.0.
However, the help file will have the most current information - the same as what is in the PDF.

And, you can find templates to download here:

So I got it working - I think. the menus look even better than I thought. One question I haven't been able to resolve - Can these be used for more than just a CD menu? Like a menu on a website similar to the one I posted earlier in this thread? I also haven't figured out how to publish them period, but I'm sure that is listed somewhere.

I did try uploading them to screencaster but that didn't work.
