Snagit 13 : Opacity files/images Missing???? | Opacity for all image in file.

I do not know if is idea or a lack

But many times I tried to merge two files in Snagit:
Focus to one point pixel + Opacity 65%....... to second file.
And after I fit pixel point i put Opacity 100% second file.
Merge is END

All these are not possible in Snagit 13.0.2 Editor.
Why???

Where is opacity to file in Snagit 13.0.2 Editor???
in "Tool Properties" I do not have no option for Opacity file (for any image in file)

I used Photoshop for example.

You can apply opacity using Filters to the image.SnagIt applies opacity to the entire image .

So, you would need to apply it before you copy and paste it into the other document.

Hi there

Based on what I'm seeing of the examples supplied, it would seem that you are looking for an easy way to seamlessly blend two different screen captures so as to create a single larger capture as if you had just scrolled the image into view and poof‽

At least, that's what it looks like to me.

If I'm understanding this correctly, maybe you might think of exploring one of SnagIt 13's awesome new features. That feature is known as Panoramic capture. Basically, you tell it you want to capture, configure the capture area, click Start, scroll the area to bring the hidden bits into view, click Stop and poof!

Cheers... Rick :)

Thanks! Rick :)

You understood correctly what I wanted to do

I forgotten of option: "Panoramic Scrolling Capture"
It seems to work. (where it does not go Scroll)

It's hard with opacity in edit
Not to mention what I did above is a very simple operation if you have the right tools.

Hi and thanks for submitting your idea/feature request!

As outlined in our New Community Processes post, feature requests are open to voting up through the first, where we will then tally the votes and present the findings to our product teams. To ensure we have the most accurate data, on the 1st of the month we will be locking the threads that were listed in the Feature Request Round-up that was posted on the 15th. Once we have reviewed the submitted feature requests, our product team(s) may respond to the request, and if that is the case then that thread will then be unlocked for further discussion.

In the event that your idea is not selected for a response feel free to resubmit the idea and share it with your colleagues to garner as much exposure as possible!

Thank you again for your idea and we look forward to hearing more from you!

-Robert

Hi there!

We wanted to thank you for the time and effort that you have put into submitting a feature request and we wanted to assure you that your request was reviewed by a member of the Snagit product team. Though this is a fantastic idea, it does not currently fit into the vision that we have for Snagit and thus we will not be researching this feature for development at this time. That said, development goals and functions may change as Snagit evolves and we encourage you to repost your feature request and truly champion its use and purpose by sharing your ideas with your colleagues and professional social circles and urge them to weigh in on the thread.

There could be a number of reasons a feature request is not selected but unless otherwise specifically addressed by myself or another agent from TechSmith, the reason your idea was not selected is likely due to lack of support from our online community so sharing and championing your feature request is crucial to ensuring it bubbles up to the top of the list of requests for the month.

Again, we truly appreciate your time and look forward to your continued support of TechSmith!

-Robert
