New today: a maintenance release of Snagit on Windows (Snagit 10.0.2) that contains a few bug fixes. Many of these fixes were available previously from our tech support department but have now been rolled into a single update.

The update is free for anyone running Snagit 10.x.

Download the update

What's included?

  • Fixed a bug where Snagit crashes when installing the default accessories on Windows 7.
  • Fixed a problem with image scrolling in Firefox when the image is zoomed.
  • Fixed a Snagit printer bug that only printed blank pages.
  • Fixed a bug with custom drop shadows on text in Editor.
  • Fixed a COM API bug that did not expose autoscroll direction controls in the new All-in-One capture.
  • Updated the Screencast.com output, which contains several bug fixes.

Good to see this update but would it not be better if all updates to work via the software application, "Check for Upgrade" function?

John I just checked and this feature did work for me with the SnagIt Update when checking for a new version.

What I am having trouble with is pasting the image outside of the Snagit Editor screen. I've used Snagit at work for about two years, so I know how to use it, but for some reason it isn't working on my pc at home which is a Hewlett Packard G60 Notebook PC. I have Windows Vista Home Premium. Any advice? Thanks.

Hello traci. I just tried this with the Copy All function and then pasted a random image I captured into my Microsoft Word Document using the shortcut key of CTRL>V. If you do not mind me asking what program are you trying to paste your captured image into? Maybe we can get this figured out. Thanks for posting here. Have a great day.

Fred, I think I did not see the update when I started my PC. It must have been the first day (first hours) when the update was out. The Check for Upgrade does indeed word OK. Thanks

Dan I tried to get the upgrade download for 10.0.2 and it did not work for me either. I am using the new SnagIt 11 Version now though. I would suggest putting in a support ticket to see if they can help if someone from TechSmith does not chime in on this and answer it for you.

Thank you Mike. Much appreciated. I put in a support request. I don't know if you're in a position to cancel it or mark it resolved.
