Here is the link to the file i put in DB. Let me know how it works for you. It very well could be user error. I have been know to be the cause of my own problems on occasion. ;)
Your project made me curious so I opened it on my Windows machine.
I discovered your problem. it's at the one minute and 27 second point in the video. There's a gap in your timeline between the video. There are also fade transitions applied to the video clips that need to be removed.
See image below click to enlarge.
You need to zoom into the timeline to see the gap.
All you need to do is left click on the fade transitions and hit the delete key to remove them.
Then, you need to slide to the two video clips back together ensuring that you are sliding all the media To the right at the same time.
There are two ways to accomplish this. The easiest way is to place the timeline indicator so that it is touching the video clip to the right and the gap. Then, you hold the shift key and drag the videos back together. I'm assuming it's due to the complexity of your video that this technique is not working very smoothly for me. That would be my normal technique because when you hold the shift key all the clips to the right move with it. I have a high-powered computer but it just did not want to work smoothly for me. You may have better luck than I.
Here's another technique that will work.
If you place the timeline indicator between the gap Touching the video clips to the right. Then grab the green slider at the top of the timeline indicator and drag it to the left until it touches the video to the left. With that open area highlighted you can apply a cut to close the gap.
Once you've done that the video will be returned to normal.
I downloaded the zip file and uncompressed it then opened it in Camtasia. 3.0.2 for mac
Joe - the video on screencast is black for me from 1:52 onwards to the end of the video.
The project in camtasia looks fine to me and seems to play fine in the preview window.
I exported the project to an MP4 using the following settings:
The exported video worked as expected.
I would try the following:
1) choose "Camtasia 3 -> About Camtasia" and confirm you're using 3.0.2
2) If you are using 3.0.2 try an export to file using the first MP4 option in the dropdown, then set your settings to match mine and see if that video exports ok.
(note that I also tried exporting to Screencast.com and that worked fine for me. http://www.screencast.com/t/PsGo4rCj )
It might be worth noting, I am running a 16GB MacBook Pro running OSX 10.11.6 (El Capitan) If you're running on Sierra, then this may be a MacOS 10.12.x related bug.
yeah I see what you’re talking about. I caught a black video glitch at 1:27 of the video and I didn’t watch the rest of the Screencast video after that.
So I didn’t even realize that it all went black at 1:52.
I’m also pushing my luck here because I’m running a Windows machine. I suspect that’s why it was having trouble using shift and sliding media on the timeline. It simply wouldn’t do it was the problem. After playing around for a while I realized if I waited 10 seconds the media moved. I’m running one of the nicest processors available so this shouldn’t have anything to do with my machine. Both Camtasia 8 and 9 have both run smooth on this machine for the most part.
I received about 10 different error messages regarding media in this project. It was reported as error 7 and I would assume it has something to do with Windows compatibility with a Mac project. Here’s a couple of screenshots just to show you. I am curious what error 7 is. I know that projects are not 100% compatible between Mac and Windows at this time.
I reopened the project out of curiosity. There’s also a gap in the timeline of the video at 2:36:10 for four frames with the same error that I reported on. As far as the video goes I don’t see any real problems with it either. With the exception of the two gaps I found there is always a picture on the screen. Those gaps may have been created by the media that would not open on my computer.
I went ahead and rendered the video anyway out of curiosity. I had no problem rendering out the video but I didn’t try to upload it anywhere nor do I intend to.
Oh well it was fun trying.
As you see ( i m speaking on my native language ) from the moment i start to talk ,video should go normaly ,but instead it looks like had posted photo frames
