Missing outline feature for captions in Camtasia Studio

Dear TS,
I hope the caption supports setting up the thickness of the outline. Because when the background is colorful, the caption will become very difficult to read.
Besides, I found it will climb up as the font size increases. So I also hope the Y position can be assigned for captions.

Thanks!

Hi there.  Did you already watch our video overview of captions? http://www.techsmith.com/tutorial-camtasia-captions.html.  It is the beginning of our captions video series.  It might help to watch the whole series to understand all the capabilities.

(I speak Spanish. Sorry for my English...)

I have a similar problem:

- I need to add Spanish Captions to a movie, but I don't like the background that appears with the captions. When I choose "No background" in the Global Setting of the "Captions" window, then the background disappear BUT the black-outline of the letters is so thin, that it is hard to read over white or light-colors of the background movie.

- Is there a way to change the thickness of this outline???
In video editors (even simples, free and non-professional like Microsoft Movie-Maker) they let you chose the thickness in the outline.

- If there is NOT a way, then: Can ThechSmith added for the next version???

Hi Yosef,

I'm afraid Camtasia doesn't support the ability for a text outline in the captions.  Have you tried adjusting the background to different transparencies to see if there is a setting that could work for your video?

I hope it helps!

Regards,

Aaron

Thank you for your reply. The background actually would solve the problem, but I just prefer how it looks without backgground at all.

Is it possible, please, to add this feature (outline size) in the next version of Camtasia??
