Missing some mouse clicks

I'm new to Camtasia and have noticed that in my screen recordings that some mouse clicks do not respond to Cursor Effects. It appears that every recording I do seems to have at least one or two mouse clicks that do respond and it is completely random when these happen.

Has anyone else encountered this issue? I'm considering that I may have to manually add a click sound and animation to the recording to compensate for the few clicks that are not working but I would prefer not to do this.

any chance that you [accidentally] cut out the part where the click happened?

my mouse clicks all show as expected, so I can't reproduce the issue

When I import the recording the first thing I do is add the Cursor Effects first before doing any editing to ensure that the effects applied to the whole clip. Then as I make way through the recording editing as I go I notice that some clicks are missing both the animation and the sound effect even though I can see screen interactions such as mouse over and mouse down effects over buttons where the mouse effect in Camtasia has not been applied.

I've tried removing and then reapplying the effect and trying different effects without any luck.

I assume you are using Camtasia 8.6.0 ?

I assume you made the recording using Camtasia Recorder ?

I have seen some cursor effects occasionally not show in the editor when previewing in the canvas, but they always show up in the produced video

could you post a short segment video showing us you applying the cursor effects, then include a segment of the production showing when/where the effects go missing?

Yes, your assumptions are correct.

I've also noticed that during editing that the preview is sometimes not perfect but usually they seem to work themselves out and start rendering correctly. However, I just did a quick export of the effected area to .mp4 and the final output also demonstrated the some problem. :(

To give you more background - I'm using Camtasia on a Mac running Windows 10 via Parallels Desktop 10.
