Hey Everybody!

Im currently trying out the camtasia studio 9.

This "Behaviors" stuff looks awesome!

BUT (the usual but :-)

At first time i was able to put... for example: the "reveal" behavior, to "Type:text...etc..."
but now i cant
I mean >> i was able to put the effect to letters, not the whole text/object

I looked up a little bit... and i found out >> there is a Type selector in the behavior section: see here >> this picture is one of my projects, one of the text:

BUT:
if i create a new Text in the SAME PROJECT!!
it looks like  so:

So the "type" selector is completley missing....

what could be the problem?!?  What did i miss!?!?

Thank You!

Ben

The "Type" option is only available on a text only callout.

The option is not available for the speech bubbles, or thought bubbles, or any of the other callouts that have a shape.

LOL, never really considered the irony of a "Text Only" callout until moments ago!

The very name "callout" seems to imply a pointy edge of some sort!

Happy Monday... Rick :)

Sorry, I should have looked at your screen captures more closely.  In both cases you do have a text only callout selected.  This is weird behavior.  What happens if you copy and paste the first callout?  Does the new callout have the 'Type' property?

If you haven't figured it out already....  if you want the appearance of a "callout",  you'll need to place two separate elements on the timeline:
  • A callout without any text
  • A text-only callout

I've seen some strange things happen, where closing the project and Camtasia, and re-launching resolved things.
