I recently upgraded to Camtasia Studio 8, and I'm disappointed by the reduced functionality. Specifically, I need the Crop to Selection and SWF output features; can't understand why they were removed.

I would like to add my support for this. I always output to SWF as it's easily the best I've found for single-file screencasts. Please add it back in to Camtasia.

I too miss crop to selection; used it all the time in CS7 to chop up large projects and archive the segments; a single undo quickly restored the original project

maybe there is a way to do same in CS8 but I haven't worked that out yet [other than deleting both overhangs first; but that would require 2 undos?

yeah i used the crop to selection feature all the time. How can you have an editing program with no ability to crop? That is the most ridiculous thing i've ever seen.

my solution for [project] crop to selection is to make the selection, then send the selection to Libraty; the results are the same; the selection can be used as its own project

That's what I've been doing, I came here to see if there was anything about adding cropping back though because it is not intuitive and, to be honest it feels kind of weird to do that.

Would definitely love to see this feature reimplemented!
