where is the motion callout that underlines back and forth i had in 7, it's gone in 8.

it should be our option to remove things, not just lose them because you took them out. really disappointing.

the underline went back and forth several times and i could resize etc.

how do i download the old ones again. i already uninstalled my version 7 after exporting and importing the library, but my callouts are gone.

Here's a .libzip which has the Scribble motion callout in it:
http://www.screencast.com/t/4EwfDBPqu8G

Just download the .libzip file, then use File > LIbrary > Import zipped library... to import it into the CS8 Library.

In case you (or others reading this later) need to bring other callouts from CS7 into CS8, I accomplished this as follows:
1. In CS7, add a short video or image to the Video1 track (a requirement in v7), then add the Sketch Motion callout to the timeline, and adjust its properties (draw time, fade time, dimensions, etc.) for the defaults you'd like to have.
2. In CS7, right click on the callout > Add to Library. I called this one "Scribble"
3. In CS7, select the item in the library, right-click > Export Library. I called this Scribble.libzip.
4. In CS8, use File > Library > Import zipped library to bring the sketch motion callout into your Library. You'll get a warning that the libzip needs to be updated to the CS8 format. Continue through this, and the callout should show up in your Library, ready to use in your CS8 project.

Hope this helps.

Thank you so much. I really missed that I've gotten good feedback on that one in the past.
I appreciate it.

thanks again for the file.

I really don't understand why you would take away assets like call outs and music we use when we get an upgrade.

Do you think really think we don't use any of it?

music, call outs, assets should carry over in an upgrade. We can delete what we don't use.

please think more about the users and what we may want to keep in the future. losing stuff really leaves a bad impression, especially when you don't expect it.

Thank you

Hey Kelly, as in Kelly Mullins / TechSmith employee.

I think it was you that posted a link that allows you to install the "Sketch/Squiggle Callout" directly into Camtasia 8 as shown in the image below.

I can't remember how it was done.  I couldn't find the thread that posted the instructions or file.

If you could figure this out it would be great.

Regards, Joe

Download and save the file. Then in Camtasia go to File, Library, Import Zipped Library and choose the file.

I export my extire library every few months and save it in case I need to import it again like I did after an upgrade that wiped everything out.

That only gets it into the library. I see you want to move it into callouts. I'd like to know how too.

That's an actual screen shot of it installed in my callouts. It can be done. I just don't remember the procedure.
