Mobile screen effects (swipe, tap etc.) available in Camtasia Studio?

I've been recording on-screen activities on an iPhone using Camtasia 2 on Mac (works really well BTW). However, all my other work is in Camtasia Studio 8 on a PC. As the Mac isn't always available when I need it, it would be great to be able to edit the screen recordings on my PC and include the swipe, tap etc. effects. Are there any plans to make the Mac and PC versions more compatible (such as allowing .MOV files to be used and provide the mobile effects on the PC version)? It would be even better if the entire screen recording feature was available on the PC so I could record my Android phone too...

Camtasia 9 will be fully cross platform compatible.

This link will give you a lot of insight into what's coming. https://feedback.techsmith.com/techsmith/topics/techsmiths-camtasia-future-roadmap

Nope, they are not. Just did my first test with an iOS recording, added a tap effect and tried opening on the PC.

And then, switching back to the Mac, I found that zoom and pan isn't available, but you' d have to do it all using custom animations. That eval is going rocky here... :/

I agree - I really need the software to record where the taps swipes etc are on the screen it doesnt help me do my user testing for apps if I dont see where exactly they are tapping ...not just that they are tapping
