Mobile video playback

I've created a video in Camtasia Studio 8 using the 'MP4 - Smart Player' option, and I've hosted it on our website. When I attempt to access the html page on a mobile device I get a message re-directing me to download the Smart Player app. Is there any way to avoid this, given that if I navigate directly to the mp4 file the video plays fine?

If you produced the video as a "Smart Player" video, then you have indicated you're using all the hotspot, call outs, hidden links and quizzing functions.  It creates the mp4, but also html files, css files and other scripts that are required to make the video "interactive".  If that's what you intended, then you would have to download the app.  Otherwise, produce it as an mp4 only.  If it's interactive and you simply load the mp4 up to your website, it will not be interactive.  You need to FTP all the files up to a folder for that specific project and then adjust the html file name to include your domain.  Or...use Screencast

Cheers Tom, so presumably the smart player includes some stuff that isn't supported by mobile browsers? I'm going to have a think about what the best approach for us is - as you say, using Screencast may be the simplest solution but I'll need to do some research.
