Motion Path for Visual Properties

Sometimes I want to move an image from one place to another in the Camtasia editor. Simple enough to achieve using the Visual Properties, but what is NOT simple is if I need to somewhat follow a graceful curve. It would be great if we could enable a motion path for an object to follow.

Additionally, it would be nice to be able to click and pull to adjust it to a desired curve.

Thanks... Rick :)

You can produce an motion path instantly by using the Convert to Motion Path device that creates a focus on item adhere to a path on the art board, whether that path is a line or the border of a form. You can then change the motion path, modifying the way of journey, the do it again depend, and the alignment of the item to the path. http://american-writers.org/about_us.php

Definitely a great idea, Rick. i'd love to see the ability to use bezier paths as well as the outline of a element with 0% alpha.

To create curved or complex motion animations, Keynote works great. You will have to plan your backgrounds carefully if you create part of your video in Keynote and part in Camtasia. You can also use create your animation in Keynote with a greenscreen-type background, then use Camtasia's Remove a Color video FX capability to remove the Keynote background entirely, leaving you with just a moving object on a transparent background.

TO clarify: Keynote is a Mac product, similar to Powerpoint. I can't tell if this thread is mac specific or not...

Poweroint (2010) is anything but easy, when it comes to animating with motion paths.

I'd much rather see a quality motion paths feature natively in Camtasia Studio (PC).
As it is, the animation tools (use 'em every day) are very basic in CS.  A great start, but a lot to build on.  Looking forward to more improvements from TechSmith.

Agreed; the idea is a good one and I'd like to see it implemented too.
