Environment
Windows 10 Pro x64 host computer
Camtasia 8.6 installed
VirtualBox 5.1 and VMWare Workstation 9 installed
The computer I'm capturing is Android x86 6.0 RC1 running as a VirtualBox or VMWare virtual computer.

Actions
1. I run the virtual Android computer in VirtualBox 5.1 or VMWare Workstation 9
2. Set Camtasia to capture a selected region, the Android window in VMWare or VirtualBox.
3. I save the capture as a *.trec file and add it to a Camtasia Studio project.
4. For the clip in the project, I uncheck "Mouse cursor visible" effect and render as an *.mov or *.avi (TechSmith 2) file

Results
There is a mouse pointer in the rendered video

Expected results
No mouse in the rendered video

The above setup works with Windows virtual computers.

I'd greatly appreciate your help. Feel free to ask for more info.

Thanks, Brian

was the clip selected on timeline when you set the mouse visible property?

the mouse should then be invisible in the canvas preview

Yes, the clip was selected on the timeline, I went to Cursor Effects, unchecked "Mouse is visible", I can see the effect on the clip in the timeline, and rendered.
