I want to move a clip by using the arrow key instead of dragging it using the touchpad.
It becomes very precise and is very convenient when you want to synchronise a clip with a music.
Thanks

I'm both "Not surprised" by this.
And surprised as well.
Camtasia for windows has this functionality. Simply highlight a media file on the timeline and hit those arrow keys.
If you can't do that on a Mac, some time down the road I suspect this will change. When??? Is difficult to say.

I'm curious about this. How do you make this work? The arrow keys in my own Windows setups only seem to allow moving the playhead and not the media clip itself. Although, with the snapping, I suppose fine increments are available to be made by first adjusting the playhead, then clicking and dragging to make the clip snap to the playhead position.

I'd love it if we had a way to just nudge the clip using the arrow keys. Today I encountered the precise condition Vincent is encountering and needed to nudge a clip by a tiny and precise amount.

I misread the question, I focused on the first part of the question
I want to move a clip by using the arrow key instead of dragging it using the touchpad.

Which I took as moving it in the canvas area ,which would be doable.
That's what can happen at the end of 16 hour work day. LOL

It would definitely be nice to nudge the position of a peice of media on the timeline frame by frame. It's on the wishlist.
