Unfortunately its not possible to move the captions. Their position is fixed.  To do what you want to do you have to use callouts instead.

Yes unfortunately there is no way to place the Captions where you want them as they will always be on the bottom if you burn them into your video. The other option is to have them below the video and not burned into the video but you have to take into consideration the dimensions you then produce the video at.

Daniela stated you would have to use Callouts which can be done and is a work-a-round and might take a lot of time pending on how long your video is on the timeline.

Thanks for posting and have a great day/night. Keep us updated and let us know if this has helped you out or not.

It would have been awesome to have the caption placement feature available.

I requested it last year during the unveil of Camtasia 2018 and that's one of the reasons why I did not upgrade.

If this has not been implemented in Camtasia 2019, then that's a serious letdown.
We have some threads running 7 years on the issue and nothing has been done. :-( :-(

Me too need to move caption little up than the standard position, but seems it is not available .. To Camptasia team - if you want to move foreward and to be used for pro productions, you should add the requested features. But seems you not do it ...

Thank you, but in my progect I use it like built in MP4 , then I add this MP4 to a After Effect project,  so this workaround not help.I'm pro with 20+ years in several areas of IT - as I say, Camptasia stay at same level many many years - make perfect capture of PC screen, prefert zooming options and other, but not extent to more professional options. Like to give real useful option to split projects on 30 parts and change in duration of one part to not force you to change other 29 parts with mouse & drag drop (which is not acceptable).

Our org just had this request come up as well. It would be great if we could control the placement of captions within Camtasia so that the produced mp4 would contain them where we want.
