moving around different video clips, call boxes, etc. in a single project shifts the other objects as well

Why do all of my clips keep shifting along the time frame?? I have been trying to sync audio with various video clips, call out boxes, etc. but here's the weird thing:

If I reposition a clip, and play the entire "movie" from the beginning, the audio and video clips line up DIFFERENTLY than if I were to just play the "movie" from a little before the time frame of interest. Why is this??? I am thus unable to just preview the clips that I am repositioning and the only consistent way I have found to get everything lined up every time is by replaying the entire "movie"!!! This is ridiculous because that is not how a movie editor should work. I hope that zooming in and out on the timeline during this editing process is not the reason, because everything should stay at where I position them right? -________- Someone... anyone...a little assistance would be greatly appreciated...

Hello there,
Are you using Camtasia 8? There is a fresh update version "8.4.0" that address a number of things. It just came out the other day. It also address some audio problems.

I would save my project before upgrade.
If that doesn't resolve the issue you can contact Tech. Support.

Give the tech support team a call at 888.750.0686 (or +1.517.381.2300 ext. 771 internationally)--they are available from 8 am - 7 pm EST.

Why do all of my clips keep shifting along the time frame?? Is not enough information to understand what is happening. If you zoom into the timeline they will appear to shift.

Regards, Joe
