Callouts with the ability to add multiple tails and/or change the line type (solid, dash, periods, etc.) have been requested/discussed several times over the last 8 years or so. I'd like to know what the users need to do to convince Snagit development to implement this. I just installed v20.0.0 on my Win10 desktop and was disappointed not to see this function. If it is there, currently I don't know how to use it. Currently it necessary to use workarounds which can be time-consuming and somewhat of a pain in the xxx.

I cheat. I make the callout, then copy/paste it. Lay the 2nd on top of the first. Then move the tail.

Hi Chris, Nice to have input and a workaround.
If you had checked the link that had many links in it you will notice this is a common workaround.
Only 9 years of requests for this function!

I never said it was an original solution never seen before.
As you point out there are many posts about as well - yet you felt a new one was still needed.
So... New post... new people will see the new post... so a mention of the workaround on the new post for those people.

So clearly they have no interest in doing it. There's no harm in putting a workaround in several places so if its not found on one post it will hopefully be found on another.

Chris you missed understood my post. Wasn't an attack on you. Poorly phrased.
Note I didn't start the thread.
"As you point out there are many posts about as well - yet you felt a new one was still needed."
Also note I put the link in for reference. I'm over it that's why I didn't place a comment.

Seems that way.

Note that while it's not 100% there, SnagIt 2020 was released yesterday and has a callout type with an arrow. The only problem is that it's a single arrow. But it should be more helpful as a beginning point to save you from doing the first arrow.
Hopefully they will eventually provide the option to have multiple arrows with that gem.

I'm using this software everyday at work with tight deadlines. I didn't purchase this software to waste time searching for workarounds for doing basic repetitive tasks.
Why is it not possible to have this feature on Windows when it has been available for years on the Mac version of Snagit?
I was expecting it to be available in this new version

Wait a minute... What?! This has been available on the mac version of **SnagIt** - For years?
I never installed the mac version despite having a mac because I don't use the mac for the same type of work/need.
That's just f'd up. Why would the two version be so divergent? Having two different code bases like that is just a major pain in the arse to maintain. And of course it comes out that there are differences like that and it just pisses off your users when they find out.

I like how its implimented. Seems to me someone just didn't take the code from one branch and bring it into the main truck to be on all the platforms. Or the Mac developer figured out how to do something their WIndows guys couldn't figure out how to match.

It works beautifully and is very useful when writing step by step instructions or illustrating software interfaces. Why it's not available on Windows is a mystery.

I see that they put a lot of effort in V20 but I don't recall seeing any feature request for the new function. I use Snagit a LOT, e.g. multiple times a day. I think the new features are great but at this time I don't see value in them for me. I'm currently troubleshooting a Windows 10 issue and have captured about 20 images and applied comments to the images. For this, I don't need the new function but I sure could use the multiple tails!
