I am editing a recording by someone else, and they make a lot of noise in between statements. (Breathing, throat clearing, etc.).
What is the best way just to mute the track temporarily as opposed to doing a ripple delete?
Is there something equivalent to the Silence button in Camtasia studio for the Mac version?
Plus you can separate volume and Highlight track and cute Audio Track and push the audio back on either side at the boundary of the cut. (you may get popping) known problem.
The screenshot below shows my timeline, notice all the short audio segments. The five highlighted clips were cut from a single longer take. Note that each "take" is typically 1-3 sentences from the script.
