My camtasia suddenly has a strange format...

My camtasia suddenly has a very strange format...I haven't changed anything since the last time I opened it, but now the words are very small and the symbols are tiny-If I enlarge the window, the words and the symbols stay the same tiny size. How can i change this? Interestingly enough, the same thing happened to my MediaMonkey player today.

Hi there

As it seems to be affecting more than just Camtasia, I'm guessing a change occurred in Windows. I'd be checking my display settings. I'm now using Windows 10 so if your system is different (Perhaps Windows 7 or 8) you will have to translate accordingly. For me, if I press the Windows key combined with the letter D, I get the desktop. And if I right-click the Desktop, I can choose Display Settings.



Once I do that, I see the ability to "customize the display". Perhaps if you adjust the size to a different value it will put things back to normal?

Thanks for that, I tried it but actually, the rest of my display is just fine, the tiny writing/symbols is only for MediaMonkey and Camtasia. And it hasn't always been like that, only since yesterday, and I am not even aware of changing any settings. I can still use it like that but it's a bit of a pain :(

That is an odd problem dubidoo222.

The fact that it only effects 2 programs and these  programs are unrelated to each other suggests to me that the problem doesn't exist within the programs.
 
My best guess "That's all I got to offer" is that a recent update has created this conflict. I would start by going into your control panel and checking for recent installed updates to your Windows Operating system. See Image Below.



If you find an update that was installed at the same time you encountered this problem I would make a note of the number associated  with any updates and try uninstalling  the update. I would think it would be an operating system update you are looking for.



Go into your  installed updates to  uninstall  an update.

Hello, thanks for the advice but I didn't have any updates since 31/12, so I guess that cannot be the problem. Will have to keep doctoring around on this one :)
