My company just upgraded to the Camtasia 8.4 version from 7..now I am getting a nasty hum every time I record anything. That did not happen with all recordings when using 7, although it did appear when the speaker was half way through her demo. I saw that this might be a faulty grounding wire, but have changed out the powerstip, and moved the computer around..still getting buzz. Any other suggestions?

I'm going to suggest that you contact Tech. Support.

Because, without getting into a lot of details. Camtasia 8 has had a number of audio problems that are different for many reasons.

But please. Leave more details like, what system are you running? What type of audio is giving you problems, voice, system audio? Are you using noise reduction in the editor? etc. and so forth. The more details the Better. That may be enough information to get your problem solved in this forum.

But you might also save yourself some time if you go through Tech Support.

This is a free service!

Just fill out a SUPPORT TICKET at.

Or you could Give the Tech Support Team a call at 888.750.0686 (or +1.517.381.2300 ext. 771 internationally)--they are available from 8 am - 7 pm EST.
