My cursor keeps blinking whenever I record my screen

I used to use the older version of Snagit, I think it was the 7. something but my dad reformatted my computer and it deleted Snagit. So I installed the 2018.1.1 version and whenever I try to record my screen, the cursor keeps blinking. When I had the older version, I never had a problem with recording. How do I make the blinking stop?

Not that I have any solution here, but does the blinking just suddenly begin and happen only when recording? Or does what SnagIt creates have the blinking showing up as blinking in the final MP4 video?

And lastly, once the recording is finished, does the blinking stop at that point and return to normal?

Cheers... Rick :)

The blinking only happens when recording then stops once I finish recording. It doesn't show up in the final MP4 video though but it's still bothering me. Thank you for your response!

I'm facing the very same issue using Snagit 2019. Any solution?
I found a Camtasia fix to the issue, but nothing about Snagit...

I have the same problem with Snagit 2019 1.5 on my Windows 10 laptop.

I've just discovered that the blinking only occurs when recording in full-screen. If recording a window in less than full-screen, the cursor behaves as expected without blinking. Unfortunately I often need to record full-screen.

On a good note, the blinking isn't reflected in the recording (file) itself, only during capture.
