My default hotkey for "Add visual animation" is "Z". Shouldn't "Z" be "Add zoom"?

My available Hotkeys for "Editor's Effects and Elements":
Add callout
Add visual animation
Add caption
Add transition
Add marker
Add quiz
Extend Frame

Where is "Add zoom"!? I use this all the time and NEED the hotkey. Also, your Camtasia 8 "Hotkeys and Shortcuts" resource document indicates I should have "Add zoom" (http://assets.techsmith.com/docs/pdf-camtasiaStudio/Camtasia_Studio_8_Hotkeys.pdf).

Hi!

Thanks so much for pointing out the error in that guide. I work on the team that publishes those, and I can confirm that there is some old information in there about adding "zooms", when in the UI you will now see "visual animation". We'll work to get that updated ASAP.

The truth is that a "zoom" really is an animation. How animations work in Camtasia Studio has evolved a little over the years, and that's why adding an animation can still be done with the Z hotkey. Specifically a "zoom" is an animation that increases the scale of an object. for more on how animations work, you might watch this short video tutorial:
https://www.techsmith.com/tutorial-camtasia-8-animations-in-depth.html

On the other hand, if you have a multi-layered timeline, and you're looking to zoom in on everything all at once, you'll want to use the Zoom-n-Pan tab, which will add animations to ALL of your timeline media at the position of the playhead. For more on using the Zoom-n-Pan tab, you could watch this tutorial:
https://www.techsmith.com/tutorial-camtasia-8-06-apply-smartfocus-zoom-pan.html

Apologies for the discrepancy. Please let me know if you have any more questions. Thanks for using Camtasia Studio and for posting!
