My highlight colors are black and white when my image is monochrome.

Snagit 8-
When I scan or capture a monochrome or greyscale image, I would like to highlight some of the text, but Snagit only lets me highlight in black or white.  Pretty useless.  Is there a way to force scans to always be color images, even if the scan is a typewritten page?

Or can I make colored highlights on a monochrome image?

Hi there

I think you will first need to save the image as a color image and not a monochrome. Once you perform a Save As and choose something like JPG or PNG, you will then be able to use the highlight. No way to achieve that with a monochrome image.

Cheers... Rick :)

Thanks, but... how do I highlight AFTER doing a save-as ??

My process is to save or capture my receipts and other paperwork.  If the document is mostly monochrome, Snagit captures it as a monochrome image.  How do I force Snagit to ALWAYS capture or scan in color?

Once the monochrome image has been scanned or captured, I can't highlight in color.  This all happens before I do a save-as.
