My key doesn't work with the upgraded version

I tried to upgrade my Mac Snagit today to the latest version (it prompted me). However, the upgrade seemed to fail and kept asking me to put Snagit in the application folder when it was already in that folder.
I then had to uninstall and re-download the latest version of Snagit. But it seems my key is now not working. Can someone please help?
I hope I haven't lost all my screenshots either :(

I do not use SnagIt, nor Mac. (Windows 10 here)
However, I do not believe that your images would have been deleted with the uninstall.
Anything that it stored on the computer, from a software after the installation, does not get removed during uninstall. However, I am not certain on a Mac, but Windows does not do it.

So, with that said.
Go here, and see if your find your images.
/Users/<UserName>/Documents/Snagit/Autosaved Captures/
or
Pictures/Snagit/Autosaved Captures.

Kathryn Before you download, you are on a screen with your keys. Copy your key from that screen to a text editor. If you did not have a valid key, I doubt you would get to the download page.

On the MAC hold shift command and tap h 
That will take you home and you should see the snagit folder with your stuff being in sub folders.

It's possible that the version of Snagit you downloaded was a major upgrade not compatible with your software key.

If you open a ticket at https://support.techsmith.com and include your product key they should be able to get you helped out. (Don't post it here because this is public)
