On the october 10th 2016, i have been hit with a copyright strike from techsmith. i have been battling and trying my best to get this copyright strike retracted and i had contacted one Techsmith employee email called (n.c.gray@techsmith.com) and said that he would pass this on and still no contact till today.

The video which was uploaded was only a video demonstrating how to get camtasia studio for free and showing the public how useful it is. it also was used for educational purpose and not any purpose to illegally sell product or anyway of use.

i am requesting Techsmith to retract the infringement claim so i can carry on with my youtube channel without any hassle and peace of mind.

as a young youtuber, i am in the learning process of recording and submitting videos online aswell as copyright.

on youtube policy, it also says the copyright claimant can retract claims so i can have my copyright taken away and carry on.

My youtube channel: www.youtube.com/user/MaJRahmanYT

please help!

Sorry, but I find myself perplexed at your situation. You shared a video that basically told people how to steal software and you seem bewildered why the company whose software you were showing folks how to steal took exception to it.

What did you expect the reaction to be? Why do you now expect them to help you? Did you honestly expect TechSmith to behave as if you were doing them some sort of favor?

Everyone can download Camtasia Studio and, during the trial they can use the software in the manner you claim to want to do.  That is, "get camtasia studio for free and showing the public how useful it is".

Techsmith even sells a very cheap 30 day license to use Camtasia (I THINK) without limitations.

Both are very nice offers.

Hopefully, you never face a situation where you perform work or create something for another person only to them decide to not pay you the agreed upon price.  I would object to them stealing from you.

Ahhh, I'm very sorry then and offer my apologies. I didn't realize you were referring to the "free trial" that TechSmith offers.

Your first post sounded as though you had discovered some way to get a fully functional copy of Camtasia at no charge to use basically forever.

Happy Holidays... Rick :)

Your wording made it sound like you were showing people how to steal it.
If that was not your intent, then maybe they can help you.

Indeed that was my thought after reading the initial post.

And it made me think of one of those crazy cops episodes I saw years ago where someone called 911 to report a robbery.

The police arrive to discover the person that was robbed and had called was there to purchase illegal substances.

The youtube post states, "USE THE KEY WITHOUT NET THATS IT NO NEED TO CREACK."

I just jumped through the video and, at the end, it states, "HOW TO DOWNLOAD PHOTOSHOP CC 2016 FOR FREE CRACKED VERSION."

Videos simply showing how to download our trial would not have been removed.  We only submit copyright claims for videos showing how to bypass our trial system, or videos that show cracks and/or pirated keys for unlocking our software.  Strikes last 3 months, so as long as you haven't offended again, that should be falling off your account shortly.
